Japānas vēstniecība rīkos Čadō meistarklasi, kuru vadīs tējas skolotāja Sōčo Sugai, Urasenke Tankōkai asociācijas Berlīnes nodaļas prezidente.

Meistarklase notiks:
19. septembrī (sestdien) 12:30 – 14:00 Jūrmalas Kultūras centrā (dalībnieku vietas aizpildītas)
(Aizpildoties dalībnieku vietām, varat reģistrēties vērot pasākumu kā skatītāji.)
Sōčō Sugai kundze ir Čadō Urasenke Tankōkai asociācijas Berlīnes nodaļas prezidente. Urasenke ir viena no lielākajām japāņu tējas ceremonijas skolām, kas mantojusi tradīciju tieši no leģendārā tējas maistara Sen no Rikjū, kurš atstājis ļoti nozīmīgu ietekmi uz japāņu tējas ceremonijas vēsturi un filosofiju. (Gandrīz visas lielākās tējas ceremonijas skolas saistītas ar Sen no Rijū vai nu pārmantojot tradīciju no viņa tiešajiem pēctečiem, vai caur viņa mācekļiem.)
Meistarklasē Sugai kundze un viņas asistente Kodzumas kundze demonstrēs Rjūrei stila* ceremoniju, kur viesi sēdēs uz krēsliem pie galdiem. Pēc demonstrācijas uzzināsiet par tējas ceremonijas etiķeti un tradīcijām, un atklāsiet, kā baudīt tēju japāņu stilā. Varēsiet arī pagatavot tēju sev skolotājas un viņas asistentes vadībā.

The Embassy of Japan will hold a Chadō masterclass led by tea master Ms. Sōchō Sugai, President of the Chadō Urasenke Tankōkai Association in Berlin, on the following date and time.
19th September (Sat) 12:30-14:00 @ Jūrmala Culture Center (Registration ended)

Ms. Sōchō Sugai is the president of the Chadō Urasenke Tankōkai Association in Berlin. Urasenke is one of the foremost schools of Japanese Chadō, tracing its lineage back to Sen no Rikyū, the legendary tea master who profoundly shaped the history and philosophy of the Japanese tea tradition. (Almost all major Chadō schools in Japan can trace their roots back to Sen no Rikyū, either through his direct descendants or through the lineage of his disciples.)
During the masterclass, Ms. Sugai and her assistant Ms. Kozuma will demonstrate the Ryūrei style* of tea ceremony, in which you will be seated at tables and chairs. After the demonstration, you will learn the etiquette and traditions of Chadō and discover how to appreciate tea in the Japanese way. You will also have the chance to prepare your own bowl of tea under their guidance.
* This style is said to have been introduced around 1872 by Gengensai Sōshitsu, the 11th-generation head of Urasenke, to accommodate distinguished foreign visitors to Japan. (see the third picture)
Ms. Sugai says the most important aspect of Chadō is the special connection created between host and guests while sharing a bowl of tea. So beyond learning the techniques and etiquette of tea preparation, this masterclass offers a unique opportunity to experience the spirit of hospitality and human connection at the heart of Chadō.
Participation in the master class is free. The number of participants is limited.
